ObaCell® Fat-on-a-Chip Kit

ObaCell® SVF and ASC Fat-on-a-Chip Kits are ready to use functional adipose organoid models provided to you in a 96-well plate format. Customize your kit by choosing a unique cell donor from our diverse inventory that best represents the prevalent population modeled in your study. Choose up to 4 cell donors per plate. A 3-week lead time is needed to initiate culture in our lab before delivering to you.

The Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) represents a native multicellular population extracted from adipose tissue including endothelial progenitor cells, mesenchymal stem cells, and immune cells.

The Adipose-Derived Stem Cells (ASC) reperesents cells dervied from adipose(or fat) tissue, known for their potential in regenerative and therapeutic applications. The ASC Fat-on-a-Chip kit is also available in a live plate format, which consists of ASC embedded in our ObaGel® + ObaVate hydrogel scaffold and differentiated into pre-adipocytes for 2 weeks.

Endpoint analyses capable of this model include, but are not limited to, brightfield and fluorescent imaging, confocal microscopy, high-throughput microscopy, cell viability staining, metabolic activity assays via alamarblue or similar reagents, cell retrieval, histological staining, secretome analysis, cytokine profiles, and RNA and protein expression.
